Ingredients

- 4 Servings +

    Beef Hamburgers with Aged Cheddar
  • Grainy Mustard Sauce - Makes 1/3 cups

Directions

In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well. Refrigerate until ready to use.

In a medium bowl combine the ground beef, steak spice and Dijon mustard. Gently mix with your hands or a fork. Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions and gently shape into burger patties (burgers can be made ahead and frozen until ready to use).

Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Once hot, place burgers on the grill, close lid and cook for 6 – 8 minutes per side or until cooked through. Top burgers with cheese slices and continue to cook just until cheese is melted. Remove burgers from grill and transfer to a plate.

To assemble burgers, spread the bottom bun with the grainy mustard spread, a leaf of lettuce, sliced tomatoes, and burger. Enjoy hot with your favourite side dishes.

Chef Tip:

Handle the ground beef as little as possible – the more you work the meat, the tougher it will become.
