Day trips

Wherever you go, go with your Canada’s Food Island Gift Card!

March Break is the perfect time to hit the open road (most likely Route 2!) and travel to a new part of the Island for a day trip. From Tignish to Summerside, Kensington to Hunter River, Charlottetown to Morell to Souris and everywhere in between, many great communities are waiting to be explored over March Break. Don’t forget to bring along your Canada’s Food Island Gift Card and use it at a local cafe, a retail shop, a restaurant, a local producer or attractions along the way.

Use our Merchant Directory to help plan out your day trip! Using the Location’s Tool, you can separate the participating merchants in each part of the Island.

Outdoor activities

Some time off from school or work? What a breath of fresh air!

Use this time to get out and enjoy the great outdoors. We’ve got some “Greatest Of All Time” level ways to do so with your Canada’s Food Island Gift Card and they include… Goats!

Island Hill Farm:  Head to Island Hill Farms nestled amongst the rolling hills of Hampshire, PEI. Enjoy an authentic visit to an Island Farm and cuddle up to some cute goats! Check Island Hill Farm’s website for their hours of operation.

Alexander and Darlene’s Farm Haven: Alexander and Darlene’s Farm Haven are hosting some March Break Activities between March 15-19th on their farm! Learn to start an organic tomato plant and then say hello to the miniature goats, horses, rabbits and other animals on the property! To reserve a spot at one of the activities, head to their website to check out dates and times.

If goats don’t float your boat, then head outside to one of PEI’s many Island trails! If you plan it right, you can stop at a cafe or restaurant to fuel up on snacks, treat yourself after a nice long hike, and use your Canada’s Food Island Gift Card to pick up the tab!
