Turnips (Brassica rapa Rapifera group) are closely related to Chinese cabbage and mustards. It is a biennial but is cultivated as an annual. Turnips have a white or yellow fleshed root generally with a flattened globe shape.
Cabbage
Cabbage is a popular cultivar of the species Brassica oleracea (Capitata Group) of the family Brassicaceae (or Cruciferae) and is a leafy green vegetable.
Carrots
Carrots (Daucus carota) are a root vegetable, usually orange in colour, though purple, red, white, and yellow varieties exist. It has a crisp texture when fresh. The most commonly eaten part of a carrot is a taproot, although the greens are edible as well.
